TOTAL LEADERSHIP, INC., a Pennsylvania corporation ("TLI" or "we" or "us"), maintains this Privacy Policy as part of the Terms of Use (the "Terms") on each website on which this Privacy Policy is posted. This Privacy Policy applies to your use of Web sites operated by TLI, including www.totalleadership.org, https://beta.totalleadership.org/ and www.myfourcircles.com (collectively and each individually, the "Site") and the features and services available from time to time on the Site to visitors and members (each a member and collectively, "Members"), including those features and services made available to all Members generally or only to specific Members of the Site (collectively and including the Site, the "Services"). This Privacy Policy is intended to provide you with a description of how your personally identifiable information that you provide to TLI when you register to become a Member, through your use of the Services or by other means (collectively your "Personal Information") is collected and used and the measures that we take to protect your Personal Information. Personal information means information that can be used to identify and contact you, which may include your name, postal delivery address, e-mail address, and telephone number, as well as any other information concerning you maintained in personally identifiable form in combination with the foregoing types of information.
Your use of the Services constitutes your acceptance of the terms of this Privacy Policy and your consent to the collection and use of your Personal Information in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to abide by this or any future version of the Privacy Policy do not use or access the Services.
TLI reserves the right to revise the Privacy Policy at any time and for any reason, including as necessary based on changes to the Services, our Personal Information collection and use practices, and applicable laws. Any revisions to the Privacy Policy will be posted on this page and such posting will constitute notice to you of the change, will show the effective date of the current Privacy Policy and will be effective when posted. Anyone may visit and use the Site and/or become a Member and create a Member Account ("Account"). Certain features and services available on the Site, including access to certain "Groups" on the Site, are only available to certain Members as a result of their affiliation with certain other third parties or for other reasons.
TLI collects Personal Information from you when you voluntarily register to become a Member and create an Account. When you register and create an Account you will be required to provide your first and last name and your e-mail address and to create a password. You may also have the ability at certain Sites to decide and choose to provide us with certain other Personal Information in connection with the creation of your Account profile ("Profile") which may include your phone and fax numbers, date of birth, educational and employment background, facts about yourself, and photos and in addition you may provide us with Personal Information and other information included in your Member Content (as defined in the Terms). You are responsible for all information that appears in your Profile and are aware that all Members, and to the extent you elect, non-member users, will be able to view the information that you make available based on the settings you select (whether Personal Information or any other information). We may also collect Personal Information or other information we receive about you from third parties, including without limitation from other Members, users of the Site (e.g., non-Members) or clients of TLI.
We may also collect your name, mailing address, phone number, e-mail address, and/or credit card number and pin/access code in connection with any transaction you initiate through the Site or your use of the Services such as making a purchase or registering for an event (i.e. conferences and seminars) or requesting that we contact you, to the extent the ability to conduct such transactions or enable such contact through the Site or use of the Services is made available by TLI.
When using the Services, you may, depending upon whether you are a Member, among other things, create your Profile, send messages to another Member, conduct searches, join or form a "Group," and transmit and make available information to other Members. TLI may collect information regarding your Account activity to assist us in understanding the way our Members use the Services so that TLI can continue to improve the Services and facilitate the communication and networking of Members through the Services. This type of Account activity information is primarily retained so that when you access your Account you can view prior activity and retain access to posts or messages you have sent or received.
We may use "cookies" to retain certain non-identifying information about you, whether you are a Member or a non-member user. A cookie is a piece of data that TLI sends to your computer. Cookies may be used in a variety of ways. For example, TLI may use cookies to identify your internet browser and store your Member preferences. Cookies may also be used to help TLI understand your use of the Site and Services in an effort to improve the offerings and features. We may also use action tags, Web Beacons or GIF tags throughout the Site and Services to understand how you were directed to the Site and how you navigate and use the Site and the Services, but no Personal Information is collected by TLI through the use of these technologies.
Advertisements and links for our partners or other advertisers on the Site or in connection with the Services may also contain cookies. TLI is not responsible and has no control over those cookies. The terms of use and privacy policy of those third parties apply to their cookies.
TLI will only use your Personal Information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. By using the Services, you consent to having any information you provide to us to be transferred and processed in the United States.
TLI uses your Personal Information and any other information you provide in your Profile or otherwise to facilitate your use of the Services, for example by presenting the information to you to allow you to edit the information and present your Profile. The Personal Information and/or other information you provide will also be used by TLI in connection with certain features of the Services accessible by Members only, such as being included in a Member listing or directory, and to the extent you elect based on your privacy settings, to non-member users.
TLI may also use your Personal Information in connection with the exercise of its license rights with respect to your Member Content as granted to TLI by you in and subject to the conditions contained in the Terms.
If you make a purchase using the Services, TLI will use your Personal Information to process and ship your order and your Personal Information may also be used in connection with any Member support function in connection with your order.
As part of the function of the Services, TLI may from time to time send you e-mail notifications and alerts related to your Account based on your "Email Notifications" settings. In addition, TLI may use your e-mail address to provide you with notices regarding TLI events, resources, services, meetings or other activities and benefits which may be relevant or beneficial to you.
The Personal Information and other information that you provide and post as a Member whether in your Profile or otherwise in connection with your use of the Services is accessible by other Members, as you determine this accessibility based on the privacy settings you select, and is done at your own risk. A primary function of the Services is to allow you to share your information and communicate and network with other Members. You have the ability to decide what information you will make available to other Members via your Profile and through your use of and participation in the Services. The Services design and your selection of privacy settings allow you to determine what information you make available to other Members.
TLI is not responsible for the actions of Members or any other person with whom you may share your Personal Information or any other information and cannot guarantee that the Personal Information or any other information you make available to other Members via your Profile or your use of the Services will not be viewed by unauthorized persons. Members having access to the Services may, by their actions, make your Personal Information, other information or Member Content generally available to the public. This Privacy Policy does not apply to the use by any other Member of any information you make available to other Members in connection with your use of the Services.
No method of security can provide absolute protection and we are not responsible for the breach or other failure of any privacy settings or security measures contained in the Services. You understand and acknowledge that, even after any information you make available via your Profile and through your use of the Services is deleted or removed from the Services, copies of such information may continue to be viewable if contained in cached or archived pages or if any of such information has been copied or stored by another Member, any person with whom you may have shared your information or any person that accessed your information without authorization.
TLI will share your Personal Information as you permit in accordance with the privacy settings you may select, and in addition TLI will share your Personal Information in accordance with this Privacy Policy to third parties in the following circumstances.
The Services may contain links to other Web sites which are not operated by TLI and may also contain advertisements from other companies. This Privacy Policy is only applicable to Personal Information you provide to TLI. When you link to and access a third party Web site, any Personal Information or other information that you provide at that Web site will be governed by the practices and privacy policy of the applicable third party. We have no responsibility for the practices or privacy policy of any of third party, including those to which you may be linked through the Services.
Additionally, any Web site that you visit via a link, may use cookies or other tracking technologies for a variety of purposes, including but not limited to, monitoring the effectiveness of their links and traffic received via those links. This Privacy Policy does not apply to any cookies or tracking technologies that may be used by an operator of a Web site that you visit via a link from the Services and the third parties practices regarding the use of cookies and tracking technologies will be governed by the privacy policy of the applicable third party.
When you visit a Web site via a link from the Services, your IP address may be automatically received by that third party. No other information is provided by TLI to the operator of any third party Web site that you may visit via a link from the Services.
TLI may customize the content delivered to you based on your Profile and use of the Site and Services, including your affiliations with employers, educational institutions, etc.
TLI does not track its customers over time and across third party websites to provide targeted advertising and therefore does not respond to Do Not Track (DNT) signals. Third parties that have content embedded on TLI's Site, such as a social feature, may set cookies on a user's browser and/or obtain information about the fact that a web browser visited a specific Site from a certain IP address. Third parties cannot directly collect any other Personal Information from a TLI Site unless you provide it to them directly.
You may view and revise any of your information contained in your Profile and update the preferences and settings applicable to your Account at any time by visiting, respectively, the "My Details" and "Privacy Notifications" and "Email Notifications" features or similar editing tools available through the Services. When you share any Personal Information or other information through your use of the Services, you may not have the ability to revise, update, change or delete all such information in all cases.
You may deactivate your Account at any time by sending a request for deactivation to info@totalleadership.org. Your Profile will no longer be viewable by users of the Site, but may continue to be stored in TLI's backup data storage systems and will be retained in accordance with TLI's data retention policy and as necessary to comply with applicable federal, state and local laws.
TLI retains the right to deactivate your Account if YOU ARE NOT USING IT IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE TERMS OR IF YOU ARE USING THE SERVICES IN CONNECTION WITH A PROGRAM SPONSORED BY AN EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION OR A CLIENT OF TLI AND THAT PROGRAM HAS ENDED. When your Account is deactivated you will no longer be able to access your Account and your Profile information will not be accessible to any Member. Your Personal Information will be handled as described in the preceding paragraph.
TLI has implemented various administrative, technical and physical security measures, as deemed appropriate by TLI, to protect your Personal Information against unauthorized disclosure, use, loss/theft or modification. No method of transmission or electronic storage can provide absolute certainty of security, and as such we cannot guarantee the absolute security of the information that we collect.
TLI does not intend for use of the Services by children under 13 years of age, as further described in the Terms and does not knowingly collect Personal Information or other information from people under 13 years of age.
